Sonic Sky started out as a rocket engine development company, but as we moved through that process, we found a niche for engineering and prototyping projects from TRL1 onward. We honed our skills on numerous in-house projects before offering the services to others and pride ourselves on delivering value for money. We specialize in project phases where the high cost of large engineering firms, with high overheads and bureaucracy, can’t be afforded and where there is no schedule luxury to perfect every last detail prior to moving to a minimum viable product. We aim to get you to demonstrator product as quickly as possible and will work closely with you to ensure the product design is scalable and reliable.

The 5KN rocket engine in the image above was required to be as cheap as possible and thus could not be simply 3D printed. It required advanced CNC machining, laser welding, and complex multi process tube forms to achieve a lightweight and cost effective engine casing that could be fabricated for 1/10th the price of 3D printed options.
